GRASS TERRA

Machine description

A robust roller designed for modern pasture and meadow management. Thanks to its high weight and working speed, it creates sufficient kinetic energy for effective soil aeration without disturbing the grass sward.

Designed for professionals

This machine is built to handle the most demanding tasks in grassland maintenance:

  • Land leveling and stone pushing
  • Aeration of grasslands, combing out old vegetation
  • Improving the infiltration of digestate and slurry into the soil
  • Creating crevices and air pockets to support healthier, denser, and more productive turf

How it works

The aerator creates grooves on the soil surface while disrupting compacted subsoil. Thanks to the kinetic energy generated by the combination of the machine’s weight and working speed, in one pass the compacted layer is disrupted and cracks are created that allow water and nutrients to penetrate the soil – without damaging the turf.

How the GRASS TERRA Aerator Works

Weight + speed = kinetic energy = effective disruption of compacted soil without ploughing.

The Aeration Process

The aerator creates grooves on the soil surface while disrupting compacted subsoil. Thanks to the kinetic energy generated by the combination of the machine’s weight and working speed, the compacted layer is disrupted in one pass. This creates cracks that allow water and nutrients to penetrate the soil – all without damaging the turf.

Benefits for Soil and Vegetation

Aerating the soil during dry summer and autumn conditions helps loosen compacted layers and forms channels that improve airflow within the ground. These air gaps:

  • ✅ Encourage earthworm activity and support healthy soil structure.
  • ✅ Increase oxygen availability for beneficial microorganisms and soil biology.
  • ✅ Enhance water infiltration and moisture retention.
  • ✅ Stimulate deeper and more vigorous root development.

During winter, the opened soil structure allows frost to reach deeper levels, contributing to natural regeneration. In spring, the loosened soil warms more quickly, helping vegetation start growing earlier and more evenly.

Advantages of Technology

  • ✅ No-till grassland management, maintaining a smooth surface for mowing.
  • ✅ Grazing possible even after treatment.
  • ✅ Root system remains protected in the soil.
  • ✅ Improved vitality and growth production.

Why Machines of Low Weight Are Not Enough

Light machines cannot penetrate compacted soil and do not have enough weight to generate the necessary working energy. Only a combination of high weight and working speed can effectively break up soil compaction and create aeration gaps.
